Lake Bled

The 2120 meter length and 180-500 meter wide lake has its deepest point at around 30 mts. It normally takes an hour to walk by the side of the lake. It may even take a day as there are a number of bars, cafes and restaurants on the sideway. This lake has a natural occurrence. A glacier slid off from Alps into this valley 14000 years ago and thus by this attractive lake has got its formation. There are about 19 species of fish in the lake Bled and this makes the place a main attraction for fishing. Rowing and Swimming activities even can be found at the Lake Bled. The lake enters the frozen state during the winter.

Lake Bled Castle

The castle of Lake Bled is built on a high rock which is 100 meters above the lake level and this castle is one of the best sceneries in Bled. Historically, it was donated to Bishop Albuin of Brixen by the German Emperor Henrik II in 1004 as the castle itself conceitedly presents the wealthy history of the castle and the viewing sections through the centuries. Depending on the season, the castle is open from 9am to 6pm. You also can find the historical artifacts in the castle such as an old fashioned print house, castle wine cellar and a collection of old furniture.

Lake Bled Island

This island is the Slovenia's only natural land and is known to be one of the most wonderful places in the whole Europe for drawing millions of people from all over the world. Visitors have to climb around 99 stairs to reach the St Mary's cathedral and these stairs lead to the top of the island as well. If you are planning to get married here, then wishing bells shall be the most romantic place for the occasion. You can even find souvenir shop, ice cream shop and outstanding restaurants on the island.

Vintgar Gorge

A mountain river, Radovna which naturally created the Vintgar gouge and it has length of 3km and wide of few meters. The wooden path mostly is fixed facing on the rocks of the canyon. The Vintgar gorge stretch its way through the rocks and polished by the Radovna with its rapids, pools and waterfall.
