Bed & Breakfasts Wane in Favor of Vacation Clubs

Bed & Breakfasts Wane in Favor of Vacation Clubs

Just a few short years ago, Bed & Breakfast holiday weekends were all the rage. People wanted to experience the quaint or rustic life for a few days. But that has been changing as vacation clubs gain in the popularity ranks. And it really should not come as too much of a surprise that this evolution is occurring because rustic gets old quick!

Think about it for a moment, people want a quiet weekend away, so they go looking for the old bed and breakfast nestled in the hills. They find it, along with six other couples, none of whom they know or even have any common interests in. There is nothing to do that is of any real interest after you've walked the town's main street and seen all sixteen of the shops. Now that you have hours on your hands, where will you go? What will you do? How many good books did you bring? Now compare that to your average vacation club set up.

You join the club, and the first thing you find are choices. These choices are exciting, or calming, scenic or fun filled, or both! You have help with your planning, you can get discount air fares in some of the vacation clubs. Others may not offer this, but then this will just depend on how well you did your homework in choosing the vacation club to join.

You will be able to find specials on trips that you dreamed about taking through your vacation club. You can plan and schedule the weekend that works best for you and your family. The fees that you would pay for the hotel if you did not book it through the vacation club would be quite a bit higher. Now that you are a member of the vacation club, you can sometimes get these fees for half of what you would normally pay.

When you arrive for your fun filled weekend, you have your own luxurious hotel room. You can get room service, or eat in the restaurant. You are not sitting with a bunch of strangers that you have nothing in common with and you are choosing food off a menu, instead of what is being served that day.

After an exquisite meal, served by well trained and courteous staff, you wander out to the pool where you enjoy some time swimming and sun bathing. Then you go shopping, and plan a boating excursion for the next day. That evening you come back to your hotel room and get all dressed up for dining and dancing at one of the lovely beach resort dance clubs.

Sounds like a second honeymoon in so many ways. The best part is that you were able to plan this excursion through your vacation club with hardly any advanced notice, and with hardly any money when compared to non vacation club rates.

The best part of joining the vacation club and really starting to get truly memorable experiences: You left the book at home.
